"Having been an attendee at the very first official Cuddle Party in Australia, I can only praise the event format, the philosophies behind it, and Anne herself for facilitating so well. Every hug, snuggle, foot rub, or whatever may only occur after permission is asked for and verbally received, so it's very safe. Some people actually get a lot from either saying "No" to the requests of others and being secure and guilt-free in that decision to say no, or from asking to do things (even outrageous things) knowing they will be refused. The latter is a good exercise for me - I hate being told 'No'."
